Leaving a Legacy
First, please consider having a will. More than 60% of all Americans leave this world without one, leaving decisions about disposition of their assets completely out of their control. Second, consider including a charity like the Space Foundation in your plans. A bequest will provide crucial funds for the Space Foundation and will allow you to leave a larger gift than you may have ever thought possible, advancing space-related endeavors to inspire, enable and propel humanity, impacting lives for generations to come.
• Is easy to arrange.
• Will not alter your current lifestyle in any way.
• Can be easily modified to address your changing needs.
Residual Bequest: A residual bequest comes to us after your estate expenses and specific bequests are paid:
I give and devise to the United States Space Foundation, Federal Tax ID #31-1653556, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its unrestricted use (or to a Space Foundation program you are passionate about).
Specific Bequest: Naming Partners in Housing as a beneficiary of a specific amount from your estate is easy:
I give and devise to the United States Space Foundation, Federal Tax ID #31-1653556, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the sum of $_____________ to be used for its unrestricted use (or to a Space Foundation program you are passionate about).
Contingent Bequest: Partners in Housing can be named as a contingent beneficiary in your will or personal trust if one or more of your specific bequests cannot be fulfilled:
If (insert name) is not living at the time of my demise, I give and devise to the United States Space Foundation, Federal Tax ID #31-1653556, the sum of $_____________ (or all or a percentage of the residue of my estate) to be used for its unrestricted use (or to a Space Foundation program you are passionate about).
