Rocketry: The Future of Human Space Exploration

Teachers in Charles County, Md. compete for distance during the 2009 Space Across the Curriculum Rocketry Course.
The design and construction of a variety of classroom rockets, including pop, water, and solid-fueled, will enable participants to take an experiential approach to teaching a variety of concepts such as Newton’s Laws of Motion and the physics of flight. Participants will receive an overview of the future of human space exploration and how it has impacted our lives.
