Biggest-Ever National Space Symposium Starts Monday

26th National Space Symposium COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Apr. 9, 2010) — The biggest, boldest, and best National Space Symposium starts Monday at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, and because there are new events and programs this year, here are some reminders.

Cyber 1.0
on Monday, April 12, starts with a networking breakfast at 7:45 a.m., with opening remarks beginning at 8:45 a.m. The event is the Rocky Mountain Ballroom in Broadmoor West, on the opposite side of The Broadmoor grounds from the main National Space Symposium program and exhibits. If you are registered to attend Cyber 1.0, you may pick up your badge and materials at the Rocky Mountain Ballroom. This event is sold out, so no onsite registration is available.

New Generation Initiatives
The New Generation Initiatives workshops are located in the Donald Ross Room at The Broadmoor Golf Club, which is south of Broadmoor Main. These events are sold out, so no onsite registration is available.

Regular Symposium Registration
Registration begins at noon on Monday in International Center. Registration hours are:
Monday, Noon-8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, 7:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

Arrive Early
Because of exceptionally high turnout, events are likely to be crowded. Plan to arrive early to allow ample time to register and locate seating. Many lunches, dinners, and special activities are sold out, so ensure that you are registered for the event you plan to attend.

Getting Around and Parking
26th National Space Symposium events take place in multiple buildings on The Broadmoor property. Take advantage of the ample signage, the Symposium Program Guide, the convenient Pocket Agenda (co- sponsored by SAIC), and the friendly Space Foundation team and volunteers to find your way.

Parking is limited during the 26th National Space Symposium. Attendees not staying at The Broadmoor should take the shuttle service, co-sponsored by Northrop Grumman. Once on The Broadmoor property, attendees may walk through the beautiful grounds or take Broadmoor shuttles to travel from one part of the property to another. Those who do arrive by car should park in The Broadmoor Parking Garage adjacent to Broadmoor Hall and the International Center. Parking is $8 per day. There is limited parking at Broadmoor West, also $8 per day.

Tuesday, 9:15 a.m.-7:00 p.m. (Corporate Partnership Reception 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.)
Wednesday, 9:15 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Thursday, 9:45 a.m.-7:00 p.m. (Space Technology Hall of Fame® Reception 5:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.)
