Space Certification Partner Selected for Showcase Space Foundation Space CertificationTM Partner Psoria-ShieldTM has been selected by Space Florida and the (Florida) Technological Research and Development Authority (TRDA) to present at the I2 (Igniting Innovation) Capital Acceleration Showcase Sept. 7 in Cape Canaveral, Fla. Tampa-based Psoria-ShieldTM is one of only 10 companies chosen from among 62 Florida technology firms that applied to present their business cases at the I2 Showcase.

About Psoria-ShieldTM
Psoria-Shield became part of the Space CertificationTM program, which raises awareness of how products and services developed for space improve life on Earth, in May. Psoria-ShieldTM produces a medical device to treat a range of skin disorders using Deep Ultra Violet Light Emitting Diode (UVLED) technology. The original technology was developed jointly by Stanford University, NASA Ames Research Center, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the European Space Agency in part for photoelectron generation as part of the charge management system for gravitational wave measurement systems. Psoria-LightTM technology incorporates a multitude of deep UVLEDs sufficient to offer high-dosage, therapeutic, targeted UVA and NB-UVB phototherapy.
