Space Tourism, Climate Change Featured Topics at Space Business Forum: New York

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.(May. 30, 2008) --

Two important growth areas in the business of space, renewable energy and space tourism, will be the focus of featured speakers at Space Business Forum: New York. The increasing requirements for clean, renewable energy in the face of climate change and the role of new and evolving space technology in solving this challenge will be addressed by Mr. David L. Ryan, sector vice president and general manager of the Civil Systems Division, Northrop Grumman Space Technology in a session entitled “Climate Change and Green Energy: Meeting the Challenges with Space Technology.”   Additionally, Mr. Eric C. Anderson, president and chief executive officer, Space Adventures, Ltd will provide unique perspective on the growth of and prospects for the private spaceflight industry in a session called, “Space Tourism Comes of Age – The business of Space Adventures.”

The inaugural Space Business Forum: New York is designed for Wall Street analysts, investment bankers, institutional advisors, and high-risk insurers to engage in meaningful dialogue with industry leaders about aerospace financing and investment opportunities across the $251 billion space economy. This one-day, exclusive event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18 at the Hilton New York Hotel in New York City.
