The Space Foundation and AIAA present Inside Aerospace

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sep. 29, 2005) -- Officials from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the Space Foundation announced today that they have joined forces to conduct Inside Aerospace...An International Perspective. The conference will focus on issues affecting the global aeronautics and space communities and will be held 24-25 April 2006 at the Renaissance Washington Hotel in Washington, D.C.

"The Space Foundation is delighted to partner with the leading professional membership organization for aerospace science, engineering, and technology," said Elliot G. Pulham, Space Foundation president and chief executive officer. "The combined focus of the Space Foundation and AIAA will shape meaningful discussions on the international dynamics affecting the exploration, development, and use of space, and the future of the our global industry."

"This is an event whose time has come," said Bob Dickman, AIAA executive director. "These two organizations can bring a powerhouse of professionals together for the benefit of the full-spectrum aerospace mission. There's every reason to join forces and to extend that synergy and needed dialogue to an international leadership."

Inside Aerospace will attract leaders from around the world to participate. Government officials, agency officials, and industry leaders will be featured as speakers and share dialog and perspectives on a range of panel topics including

  • European Aeronautics Research
  • Aeronautics Policies
  • ITAR
  • Space Security
  • Space Partnerships and Cooperation
  • Entrepreneurial Space Activities

The AIAA Aerospace Spotlight Awards Gala will be held in coordination with this event on 25 April 2006 at the same location.
