Space Foundation facilitates International Space Pavilion at Farnborough International Airshow
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 27, 2006) -- The Space Foundation again has been instrumental in facilitating the second International Space Pavilion (ISP) at the Farnborough International Airshow 2006, set to be the biggest, most internationally attended aerospace event in the world. The ISP offers 1,100 square meters of exhibit space dedicated to the products, projects, and professionals in the space industry. The 45th Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) takes place July 17-23, 2006, in Farnborough, England. The Space Foundation presents the second International Space Pavilion in cooperation with the FIA, the UK Industrial Space Committee, and America’s and England’s leading space industry associations. The Space Foundation was instrumental in the creation of the first ISP in 2004. The Space Foundation is hosting an exhibit, is working with Kallman Worldwide to secure space for those interested in exhibiting, and is facilitating presentation and networking opportunities during the FIA. The ISP delivers an excellent business forum for companies and organizations representing civil, commercial, and national security space issues and those with an interest in the space industry. The ISP in 2006 reflects the latest industry developments, housing an exciting array of new technologies within the space sector, hosting cutting edge speakers, showcasing more features, and delivering an increased number of exhibitors and visitors from across the globe. It provides an ideal opportunity for companies to showcase their products, services, capabilities and leading technological advances to a global audience that includes thousands of buyers, maintainers, end users, potential partners, and executives. Space Foundation Corporate Member companies seeking a presence in the ISP can purchase a kiosk that will be incorporated into the Space Foundation’s own exhibit, if they are unable to attend and exhibit for themselves. Literature racks will also be available for placement in front of the kiosk to display a company’s promotional materials. In 2004, more than 133,000 professional visitors attended the Farnborough International Airshow. For many, space was their primary focus. Exhibitors such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the European Space Agency (ESA), the British National Space Centre (BNSC), and several Space Foundation Corporate Member companies conducted business, increased their communication and brand awareness, and built new initiatives, while simultaneously raising public awareness about the $170 billion global space industry. Senior level experts from international space agencies, the Space Foundation, and Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council were among the speakers who provided informal presentations at the International Space Pavilion Theater. This conference and seminar program was a huge success with capacity attendance in every session.
