Strategic Space and Defense 2006 features command chiefs to discuss the Global War on Terror
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sep. 21, 2006) -- Today the Space Foundation confirmed that Command Chiefs from the United States Air Force, Army, and Navy will be speaking on a featured panel at this year's Strategic Space and Defense 2006 conference. The Space Foundation and Space News present the conference October 10-12, 2006, at the Qwest Center Omaha Convention Center and Arena. `Iraq, Afghanistan and the Global War on Terror - Frontline Views of the Command Chiefs` is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12.
"As leaders directly working with soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines deployed around the world, the Chiefs offer a unique perspective regarding operations and space activities" said Space Foundation Senior Vice President Steve Eisenhart. "A similar panel was extremely well received at last year's conference, and we're pleased that Strategic Command has assisted us again to organize 'Frontline Views.'"
CMSgt Todd A. Kabalan, USAF, Command Chief Master Sergeant, JFCC-Global Strike Integration/ 8th Air Force; CSM David L. Lady, USA, Command Sergeant Major, JFCC-Integrated Missile Defense/ U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command; and CSM David R. Roper, USA, Command Sergeant Major, JFCC-Network Warfare/ National Security Agency, are speaking on the panel. FLTCM William N. Nissen, USN, Command Master Chief, United States Strategic Command, will moderate.
Strategic Space and Defense 2006 addresses both the space-related and strategic missions of the U.S. Strategic Command. The conference continues to expand the dialogue and foster relationships and understanding between the senior leadership of the Command, appropriate component and supported commands, the aerospace contractor community, federal officials, and other leaders.
