AGS Exhibit Center to Show Off Technology
The sold-out AMERICOM Government Services (AGS) Exhibit Center will feature the top space-related companies and organizations, displaying the latest in space technology, equipment, and services at the Space Foundation’s 26th National Space Symposium, April 12-15, at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The National Space Symposium is one of the largest events held each year at The Broadmoor, and the premier annual gathering of the space industry anywhere in the world. The exhibits, which fill two expansive exhibit halls, will be open to Symposium registrants, a select group of teachers and students, and invited guests.
“Despite a challenging economy and a fair amount of uncertainty in the future direction of the space industry, our exhibit center sold out months earlier than it did last year,” said Space Foundation Chief Executive Officer Elliot Pulham. “A great deal of business is transacted at the Symposium and our exhibitors realize now, more than ever, they need visibility at the National Space Symposium. We are grateful for their support.”
The Exhibit Center is sponsored by AMERICOM Government Services (AGS), an independent corporation and wholly-owned subsidiary of SES WORLD SKIES that provides satellite communication to the U.S. government, including the Departments of Defense, Commerce/NOAA, Justice, the Interior, and Transportation, NASA, and other civilian and defense-related agencies. AGS integrates hybrid telecommunications and information technology systems, including leading-edge Internet Protocol platforms and applications, to provide secure broadband communications in support of mission-critical and day-to-day operations. Supported by SES's fleet of 42 satellites in 26 orbital locations, AGS provides fixed, transportable and on-the-move services on a global basis. AG’s parent, SES, wholly owns the market-leading satellite operators SES ASTRA and SES WORLD SKIES, 90 percent of SES SIRIUS in Europe, and participates in Ciel in Canada and QuetzSat in Mexico. AGS is based in McLean, Va.
