Cyber 1.0 Conference Agenda Set

The Cyber 1.0 Conference, which will be held on April 12, will feature presentations and interactive demos aimed at clarifying Air Force Space Command (AFSPC)'s newly acquired cyberspace mission, which is the direct responsibility of the 24th Air Force.

Conducted by the Space Foundation, Cyber 1.0 features Space Foundation Chief Executive Officer Elliot Pulham, AFSPC Commander Gen. C. Robert Kehler, USAF, and other AFSPC leaders. The agenda includes:

• A discussion of the "cyber reality" that explores the pervasive influence of the cyber domain on myriad aspects of modern life;
• A look at cyberspace from a Department of Defense perspective;
• A detailed overview of the 24th Air Force cyberspace mission, including presentations from Maj. Gen. Richard Webber, USAF, commander, 24th Air Force, and from representatives from the 688th Information Operations Wing, the 67th Network Warfare Wing, and the 689th Combat Communications Wing;
• Interactive demonstrations from AFSPC Command Units and from commercial cyberspace providers; and
• A detailed discussion of cyber acquisition policies and procedures.

The Cyber 1.0 Luncheon, sponsored by General Dynamics, will look at the domain from "inside the beltway." 

Lt. Gen. Larry James, USAF, commander, Joint Functional Component Command (JFCC) - Space, United States Strategic Command, and commander, 14th Air Force (Air Forces Strategic), AFSPC, will speak about what JFCC-Space needs from AFSPC's cyberspace mission.

The day will end with remarks from Maj. Gen. Webber and Maj. Gen. Michael Basla, USAF, vice commander, Air Force Space Command.

Although the Cyber 1.0 Conference is a separate event from the 26th National Space Symposium with a separate registration fee, there is a significant discount for Symposium attendees. Space is extremely limited - so, register today.
