Jason DaLee is New Space Education Specialist
Jason DaLee has joined the Space Foundation team as a Space Education Specialist. He most recently worked at Columbine (Colorado) Middle School where he taught 8th grade science and was the 8th grade boys and girls basketball coach.
DaLee received a Bachelor of Science-Secondary Science Education/Biology degree from the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Fla., and has completed 32 hours towards a Master of Science-Environmental Education. He also holds a Master of Arts-Education Leadership degree from Mesa State College, Grand Junction, Colo..
His other past teaching experiences include high school integrated science at Rockledge High School, integrated science at Clearlake Middle School and at Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School in Florida. He also taught in Montrose, Colo.,and has worked for the United Space Alliance.
DaLee has a passion for space education as is evidenced by his significant other experiences. From 2004-2008 he worked for NASA's Department of Education, stationed at the Kennedy Space Center where he wrote KLASS (Kennedy Launch Academy Simulation System) which is an entire curriculum centered around launching the space shuttle.
He will be based at the Space Foundation Discovery Institute in Colorado Springs.
