Space Foundation Sponsors KCME-FM Classics for Kids

The Space Foundation proudly announces a new partnership with classical music station 88.7 KCME-FM. As the exclusive sponsor of KCME's Classics for Kids program, we further focus on the "Arts" slice of our acclaimed science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, or "STEAM" standards-based space educational outreach. Tune in to Classics for Kids® every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. on 88.7 KCME-FM, hosted by Michael Campion.

Since 1979, 88.7 KCME-FM has operated as an independent public radio station broadcasting classical music throughout Central and Southern Colorado. Classics for Kids is an award-winning program, introducing the youngest members of our community to classical music and advanced learning. Its unique combination of radio broadcast, interactive online games and activities, newsletter lesson planning materials, and classroom visits, bring classical music to life in a way that engages young people and delights adults.

All of this integrated learning makes KCME an ideal match for Space Foundation educational efforts. The Space Foundation is helping to build the next generation of space leaders, and improving the overall quality of education in the U.S. through teacher, student and community programs.

The Space Foundation's educational outreach includes its Discovery Center in Colorado Springs, the region's first and only space, science and technology attraction and education facility. It is an interactive, museum-quality destination that advances STEAM education in the exciting context of space exploration, development and utilization.

Visit the Space Foundation Discovery Center at 4425 Arrowswest Drive, Colorado Springs, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and watch for special events, such as "Star Days" and our upcoming Summer of Discovery, beginning June 10.
