Space Foundation Offers Many Volunteer Opportunitites for Space Fans

Like Space? Volunteer! Volunteer opportunities abound at the Space Foundation, giving space fans an inside role in global space activities. Each spring hundreds of volunteers help the Space Foundation make its annual National Space Symposium the premier gathering of the global space community. Symposium volunteers have an opportunity to sit in on panels and speeches, tour the innovative exhibit center and experience the business of space at work in an exciting environment.

Volunteers are also needed year round to help with space education programs in the classroom and at the Space Foundation Discovery Institute, as well as at the new Space Foundation headquarters in Colorado Springs. Volunteers are utilized for meeting and event planning and assisting with day-to-day activities.

When volunteers work with the Space Foundation they are in the 'trenches' with the team and are afforded benefits such as being involved and working with space industry on various levels. The Space Foundation has a strong volunteer space artifacts collections team that encompasses retired and active military, retired executives from local defense contractors and retired Air Force generals.

The Space Foundation recognizes that many of our volunteers have professional and personal obligations that influence their ability to volunteer. We offer a range of opportunities with varying levels of commitment and experience.
