Public Policy and Government Affairs
The Space Foundation conducts a broad range of programs to educate policymakers about the complex space-related topics that they must address and to ensure that the industry is well-informed on critical space policy issues. We do this to improve understanding of space issues and create a better environment for constructive space policy dialog.
By our charter, we are not a lobbying organization, but our status permits our resources to be used to educate decision-makers and their staffs. Through appropriate relationships with key administration and congressional officials and staff, we provide educational information and testimony in support of civil, commercial and national security space policies. These efforts are managed from our office in Washington, D.C.
Through our Washington Operations, we educate, facilitate and coordinate with officials from government, industry, academia and the international space community. We serve as a trusted source of information and data for these constituents and promote the message that space and investment in space capabilities benefits all peoples and that America must remain the leader in space.
The Space Foundation provides credible and authoritative space information through White Papers, policy and budget analyses, special reports, briefings and presentations.
Introduction to Space Activities is a broad educational and informative tool for individuals interested in learning more about space activities.
