26th National Space Symposium Off to a Great Start

The Space Foundation has begun building an extraordinary program for the 26th National Space Symposium, April 12-15, 2010, at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Gen. C. Robert “Bob” Kehler, USAF, commander, Air Force Space Command, is confirmed to return as a featured speaker, bringing his insight into the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing our nation’s national security space program.

Another highlight of the Symposium will be the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Directors Forum, featuring:

• Gen. Thomas S. Moorman, Jr., USAF (Retired), outgoing chairman of the Space Foundation Board of Directors and panel moderator
• Dr. Hans Mark, under secretary of the Air Force/secretary of the Air Force, 1977-1979, and winner of the 2008 General James E. Hill Lifetime Space Achievement Award 
• Edward C. Aldridge, Jr., under secretary of the Air Force/secretary of the Air Force, 1981-1988, and winner of the 2005 General James E. Hill Lifetime Space Achievement Award
• Martin C. Faga, assistant secretary of the Air Force for Space, 1989-1993
• Jeffrey K. Harris, assistant secretary of the Air Force for Space, 1994-1996 
• Keith R. Hall, assistant secretary of the Air Force for Space, 1997-2001 
• Peter B. Teets, under secretary of the Air Force, 2001-2005, and winner of the 2009 General James E. Hill Lifetime Space Achievement Award 
• Donald M. Kerr, assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force (Intelligence Space Technology), 2005-2007
• Scott F. Large, assistant to the secretary of the Air Force (Intelligence and Space Technology) 2007-2009
