Raytheon's MathAlive! to Open at Discovery Center Jan. 30

The Space Foundation Discovery Center is proud to host Raytheon’s MathAlive! interactive math and science exhibit. Opening to the public on Jan. 30, the exhibit is designed to get students excited about math by showing them its connection to the things they love most — music, sports, movies and games.

During its three-month stay at the Discovery Center, admission will be free to military personnel and their families with I.D.

The 5,000 square foot exhibit includes 40 interactive exhibits organized into six themed galleries:

  • Outdoor Action … Adventure Sports
  • Build Your World … Environment
  • Future Style … Style and Design
  • Kickin’ It … Entertainment
  • Game Plan …Video Games and Other Games
  • Robotics and Space

Collaborators for MathAlive! include NASA, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the National Engineers Week Foundation, the Society of Women Engineers, the Space Foundation and MATHCOUNTS®.

The Space Foundation Discovery Center is the region’s only space, science and technology attraction, and is located only five minutes from Garden of the Gods Park, at 4425 Arrowswest Drive, Colorado Springs.
