How the Corporate Giving Club is Benefiting Colorado

The Space Foundation’s Discovery Center in Colorado Springs is the region’s only space, science and technology attraction, offering formal and informal STEM education programs for schools, families and visitors to the Pikes Peak region. The Space Foundation’s Corporate Giving Club helps companies that want to support STEM programs by enlisting their sponsorship through the new Corporate Giving Club. 

Space Foundation Platinum Corporate Member Raytheon Company joined at the Platinum level with a four-year commitment and bringing its premier traveling exhibit MathAlive! to the Discovery Center in January. Raytheon also made it possible for military personnel and their families to visit the Discovery Center free of charge through April 30, 2016.

The Space Foundation welcomes and thanks its newest member companies of the Corporate Giving Club. This annual program gives participating companies year-round marketing recognition along with some other great benefits. Marketing benefits include social media recognition, inclusion in our e-newsletter Space Watch, branding in our lobby and sponsorship of key Discovery Center events. Other benefits include invitations to special events, use of our conference facilities, and discounted use of event space.  

New members of the Corporate Giving Club include:

Gold level: Uwingu
Uwingu is a small, for-profit company founded by astronomers, planetary scientists, space educators and former NASA personnel. Their mission: creating new ways for people to personally connect with space exploration and astronomy.
 
Bronze level: Hotel Elegante
Hotel Elegante Conference and Event Center in Colorado Springs hosts a variety of events and features newly-upgraded rooms.

All Corporate Giving Club proceeds directly benefit the Space Foundation Discovery Center by annually funding:

• Programs for school groups and the general public
• Innovative and interactive traveling exhibits
• Restoration and preservation of historic space artifacts
