Space Foundation to Expand Discovery Center Education Complex with Support from El Pomar and Grapevine Investments

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct 17, 2018) - The Space Foundation has closed on space to nearly triple the size of its Discovery Center education complex in Colorado Springs. The additional 85,319 square feet at 4435 Arrowswest Drive adjoins its current building at 4425 Arrowswest Drive and will expand the total space from 45,716 square feet to 131,035 total square feet. COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 17, 2019) - The Space Foundation has selected 27 outstanding educators to join its Teacher Liaison program in 2019, including six international applicants from India and Ethiopia. The educators were chosen for their active promotion of space and science education in the classroom. Started by the Space Foundation in 2004, the Teacher Liaison program influences space and science education at an international level. Teacher Liaisons serve as advocates for space-themed education and use Space Foundation-provided training and resources to further integrate space principles into the classroom. Read more »
