Space Across the Curriculum:
Rocketry - Space History and the Future of Spaceflight
This course is designed to educate teachers about the history of rocketry and space exploration. It will explain the path that rockets have taken up to the present design and take a “small step” into the future of spaceflight and where rockets will be taking us. By having teachers build various rockets to be used in the classroom, this course demonstrates the structure and design of rockets, Newton’s Law of Motion, as well as the aerodynamics involved. Teachers will learn about the various uses of rockets and the latest programs they will launch into space.
