Beginning Tuesday, June 4, the Space Foundation Discovery Center will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the Summer of Discovery! Each week will focus on a specific theme, culminating with a full day of special activities and events planned for each Saturday. Bring your family and friends and join in the fun - we've brought Space down to Earth for all to enjoy!

Mars, Rovers and Robots

What better way to spend Father's Day weekend or to just enjoy learning something new on a beautiful summer day... Join us as for our fun-packed day and learn cool and interesting facts about Mars, Rovers and Robots along with other cool space facts.

MARS - The Red planet has been labeled as the ultimate lonely planet destination - arid, rocky, cold and apparently lifeless. Enjoy learning about current exploration efforts and facts that make this planet unique.

ROVERS - Learn about NASA's Mars Curiosity Rover, designed to find out whether Mars is, or was, suitable for life and be sure to see our collection of rovers.

ROBOTS - Robots are used in all sorts of ways on Earth and in space and are critically important to all of us. Learn interesting facts and see a variety of robots in action.
