Deadlines are Approaching

Deadlines are ApproachingCOLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sep. 28, 2010) — October 8 – is the deadline to submit papers for the International Space University (ISU) 15th Annual International Symposium, which will be held Feb. 15-17, 2011, in Strasbourg, France. The topic is the extension of the International Space Station (ISS).

October 31 – is the deadline to submit nominations for three prestigious Space Foundation awards:

  • The John L. “Jack” Swigert, Jr., Award for Space Exploration
  • The Douglas S. Morrow Public Outreach Award
  • The Space Achievement Award

December 11 – is the deadline for educators to apply to become a Space Foundation Teacher Liaison.

January 15 – is the deadline for teachers to apply for the 2011 Alan Shepard Technology in Education Award. Given annually by the Astronauts Memorial Foundation (AMF), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Space Foundation, the award recognizes outstanding contributions to technology education by K-12 educators or district-level education personnel.
