STAR Academy Students Visit Discovery Center for STEM Lessons


On Oct. 10, students from STAR Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., came to the Space Foundation Discovery Center for hands-on STEM lessons (science, technology, engineering and math).

The Space Foundation Discovery Center is the region's first and only space, science and technology attraction, and in addition to being open to the public, offers education programs for students and educators.

The Discovery Center houses the Northrop Grumman Science Center and the El Pomar Space Gallery, and is the site of Science On a Sphere® and Sphere-based education courses.

The Discovery Center is located at Space Foundation World Headquarters, 4425 Arrowswest Drive, Colorado Springs, and is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
