Commercial Space Station Company NanoRacks Opens Silicon Valley Office

Moffett Field, Calif., (Oct. 31, 2014) – NanoRacks LLC, the industry leader for utilization of the low-Earth region of outer space, is delighted to announce that our third office will be based at NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California. Opening November 1st, the West Coast office will help ensure that NanoRacks can meet our growing customer needs, as well as develop new deep space business.

“This is an fantastic step forward for NanoRacks, allowing us to tap into, and contribute  to, the agile aerospace innovation that exists from Silicon Valley to Seattle and even up  to Vancouver for the new space marketplace,” explained Jeffrey Manber, CEO of NanoRacks. “We are fully committed to utilizing the most innovative technologies in our  future products for low-earth orbit and beyond.”

Heading the office will be Ronald Goedendorp, Vice President of Space Station Opportunities. Explained Ron, “This step signals NanoRacks’ clear intent to be both a leading customer and provider of next generation hardware and practices on multiple  platforms for multiple orbits.”

Ron comes with 20 years of experience in business and corporate development in imaging systems, semiconductors, aerospace, and data analytics. He is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and co-founded the UCSD Bay Area Alumni Scholarship Fund. Added Ron, “I was looking to become an active part of the new commercial space revolution and no one company symbolizes that better than  NanoRacks. What they are doing for commercial access to the International Space  Station is auspicious for the future of this industry.”

NanoRacks LLC was formed in 2009 to provide commercial hardware and services for the U.S. National Laboratory onboard the International Space Station via a Space Act Agreement with NASA. NanoRacks’ main office is in Houston, Texas, right alongside the NASA Johnson Space Center. The Business Development office is in Washington, DC.
