House Space Subcommittee Update

Written by: developer

The House Space Subcommittee introduced draft legislation to reauthorize programs at NASA for two years, including a topline budget of more than $16.8 billion dollars for NASA. The draft legislation comes after the Subcommittee held several hearings this year to gather information that would be used to help inform their bill, including testimony by Space Foundation CEO Elliot Pulham, on our PIONEEERING report in late February.

The 80-page draft legislation is a comprehensive document that provides policy guidance from NASA's deep space human exploration program to its aeronautics work. In addition, the bill includes several measures that were resident within the Space Foundation's PIONEERING report.

The Space Foundation has updated our NASA budget report to include the proposed changes, which can be found here.
