Tickets on Sale for Space Foundation 30th Anniversary Salutes to Air Force Space Command

Two Events Celebrate Historic Event

Air Force supporters - military and civilian alike - can now purchase tables or individual tickets for two separate Space Foundation events celebrating the 30th anniversary of Air Force Space Command (AFSPC).

Part of a series of events being held through September, the Space Foundation activities serve as the major official public events for the Colorado Springs and Washington communities.

The two Space Foundation events are:

  • The Space Foundation Presents a 30th Anniversary Salute to Air Force Space Command, on Friday, Sept. 14, at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo., featuring former AFSPC and U.S. Strategic Command Commander Gen. Kevin Chilton, USAF, Ret.; current AFSPC Commander Gen. William L. Shelton, USAF; and presentation of several prestigious awards, including the Hartinger and O'Malley awards.   • The Space Foundation Presents a Washington, D.C., Salute to the 30th Anniversary of Air Force Space Command, on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the The Army and Navy Club in Washington, D.C., featuring Shelton and a "fireside chat" with former Secretary of the Air Force and former Deputy Administrator of NASA Dr. Hans Mark and former Director of the National Reconnaissance Office and former Secretary of the Air Force The Honorable Edward "Pete" Aldridge, Jr., moderated by former AFSPC Commander Gen.
