"Any room Mickey Hartinger ever entered, lit up with her warmth, heart and boundless energy. That kind of character created opportunity and possibilities for anyone in her 'orbit,' and at the Space Foundation, we were fortunate to have her as one of our most ardent supporters. Her passion for our mission, and in particular the education mission, put more star power in the hearts and minds of every student, teacher and parent who came through the doors of our Discovery Center or came across her path. Every group or activity that she was a part -- the Swigert Society, our annual Space Symposium or the Colorado Space Heroes Hall of Fame -- benefited from her friendship and steadfast support and everyone of us will miss her, but be assured, we will never forget her."

The Space Foundation is humbled and honored the family has named the Space Foundation to receive gifts in memory and celebration of Mickey. Through them, there will be an added richness to the experience for those we serve every day.
