COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 30, 2017) - The Board of Directors of the Space Foundation met yesterday and Gen. William L. Shelton, USAF (Ret.), was elected to a two-year term as Chairman of the Board. Shelton is former Commander, Air Force Space Command.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 18, 2018) -- When Russell A. Lagasse passed away in Orange County, Calif, in 2009, his estate plan directed that a testamentary trust be established following the administration of his estate. The plan further directed that the trustees should use a portion of the trust assets for organizations that promote space travel.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 17, 2018) - Started by the Space Foundation in 2004, the Teacher Liaison program influences space and science education at an international level. Teacher Liaisons serve as advocates for space-themed education, and use Space Foundation-provided training and resources to further integrate space principles into the classroom.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 3, 2017) - The United Nations declared in 1999, that Oct. 4 through Oct. 10 each year would be recognized as World Space Week, a time “to celebrate at the international level, the contributions of space science and technology to the betterment of the human condition.”
