Northrop Grumman Science Center featuring Science On a Sphere®

Visit the Northrop Grumman Science Centera spectacular destination and educational facility where you can learn about our universe on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's amazing Science On a Sphere® (SOS):

  • Marvel at the unique spherical display that brings the Earth, Sun, Moon, planets and other celestial bodies to life! 
  • See exciting programs that explain geography, weather, oceanography, the history of the universe, the impact of natural and manmade phenomena on our planet and so much more!
  • Through self-paced or docent-led participation, view our universe the way that only satellites and space travelers have seen!

Three Ways to Visit:

  • No Reservations Required: Bring you family and friends. We are open every Tuesday and Thursday and the first Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (admission prices listed lower left).

    Reserved Field Trip: Sign up your class or youth group for The Magic Sphere, a 20-30 minute docent-led SOS presentation specifically for your group ($2.00 per student/$4.00 per adult). Email sosreservations@spacefoundation.org or call +1.719.576.8000 or +1.800.691.4000.

    Wonders of the Universe Class: Register your class for a standards-based Wonders of the Universe course taught by an accredited teacher. Click here for more information.

Summer of Discovery

Beginning Tuesday, June 4, the Space Foundation Discovery Center will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Summer of Discovery! Each week will focus on a specific theme, culminating with a full day of special activities and events planned for each Saturday. Bring your family and friends and join in the fun - we've brought space down to Earth for all to enjoy!
