FIELD TRIP SCHOLARSHIPS NOW AVAILABLE

Space Foundation Discovery Center Field Trip Scholarships
to the Northrop Grumman Science Center Featuring Science On a Sphere®

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS FRIDAY, SEPT. 26, 2014

Thanks to a generous grant from Northrop Grumman, the Space Foundation is offering 10 scholarships to select schools to experience a field trip to its Discovery Center in Colorado Springs, including a session in the extraordinary Science On a Sphere® (SOS).

The Space Foundation Discovery Center is the Pikes Peak region's only space, science and technology attraction. A full complement of standards-based courses are offered for PreK-12 students called Discovery Center Field Trips, which use the Northrop Grumman Science Center, featuring Science On a Sphere®, to teach subjects including space-based science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) as well as social studies, history, government, language arts and other classroom content areas.

Each Discovery Center field trip course is calibrated for a specific grade-level standard, but may also be appropriate for a range of grades as noted in the course descriptions. All courses meet Colorado State academic standards.
