COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May. 17, 2006) — The Space Foundation announced today that it is exhibiting at the Berlin Air Show (ILA2006), May 16-21, at the Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport in Berlin, Germany. More than 200,000 visitors are expected at the Berlin Air Show, where 1,014 exhibitors from 42 countries showcase a broad range of products and services featuring current and future developments in aerospace technology. The Space Foundation’s exhibit, highlighting its many programs integrating civil, commercial, and national security space, can be found in the ILA Space World in Hall 9 at space 9142. The strong presence of the space industry is a significant feature of this year’s ILA. The Space World exhibition serves as an international forum for dialogue with politicians, agencies, science and research professionals, the media and the general public. According to the ILA, “The international character of the Space World will be underlined by the presence of the Space Foundation.” ILA is organized jointly by the association representing the German aerospace industry, Bundesverband der Deutschen Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie (BDLI) e.V., Berlin, and by Messe Berlin GmbH. Originally held in 1909 in Frankfurt/Main as the first independent air show, the ILA is considered to be the world’s oldest air show. For more information, visit www.ila-berlin.com.
