Aerojet’s Sacramento Facility Achieves One Million Man Hours Without a Lost-time Injury

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Dec. 21, 2011) – Aerojet, a GenCorp (NYSE: GY) company, announced today that its Sacramento, Calif. headquarters has once again achieved one million man hours without a lost-time injury.

The Sacramento site reached the milestone on Nov. 26.  “We are extremely proud of this accomplishment by our Sacramento facility,” said Sacramento Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety, Chris Conley. “This milestone demonstrates the entire team’s commitment to a safe workplace and safe work practices.”

This is the second time in less than two and a half years that the facility has reached this critically important milestone.  Adherence to safety is the number one priority throughout all of Aerojet’s business practices and the commitment extends from executive leadership to the craftspeople building Aerojet’s products and to those who maintain the facilities.
