The Space Foundation is offering one last discount through March 15 for its 29th National Space Symposium, to be held April 8-11 at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo.

More than 9,000 people are expected to participate in this year's Space Symposium, including speakers representing every facet of the global space community. The event will also include special presentations for young space professionals under the age of 35, part of our New Generation Space Leaders Program.

Widely known as the premier space policy and program forum for the entire global space community, the Space Symposium will feature more that 100 top-level speakers and panelists and the Lockheed Martin Exhibit Center, featuring exhibits from around the world.

The Space Symposium will feature presentation of a number of prestigious space awards, including:

  • General James E. Hill Lifetime Space Achievement Award - to be presented posthumously to Neil Armstrong and Sally Ride
  • John L. "Jack" Swigert, Jr., Award for Space Exploration - NASA Mars Science Laboratory Mission Team
  • Douglas S. Morrow Public Outreach Award - Bill Nye, chief executive officer, The Planetary Society
  • Space Achievement Award - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

The Space Symposium is held in conjunction with the one-day Cyber 1.3 conference on April 8, preceding the Space Symposium's opening ceremony.
