Lora Sidor
VP of Finance and Accounting
Lora Sidor is the VP of Finance and Accounting, where her responsibilities include the development of the Foundation’s financial plan, along with policies and procedures in finance and accounting related functions.
Prior to joining the Space Foundation, Lora served as Controller at Wright State University in Dayton, OH, where she led core business functions including the annual audit, general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing card. Lora joined the Controller’s Office as the Assistant Controller and held a prior role as the Assistant Director of University Audit and Consulting Services. Lora successfully led alongside the CBO, AVP- Finance, and Director of Business and Fiscal Affairs through threats of fiscal watch and the COVID-19 pandemic. Accomplishments include strengthened internal controls, unqualified audit opinions, a right-sized budget, and ultimately Moody’s upgrade of Wright State’s credit rating in 2023.
Prior to Lora’s roles in corporate accounting and internal audit, Lora held public accounting audit roles at a mid-sized regional firm in Dayton, Battelle & Battelle, LLP, which is now RSM. Lora’s worked as both a staff and senior auditor and specialized in non-profit, corporate, banking, and benefit plan audits.
Lora earned her BS in Accountancy and MBA from Wright State University. She was originally licensed as a CPA in Ohio and currently holds her CPA license in Colorado.
