Nicolas Chamussy, CEO of Nexter, is a seasoned senior executive of the aerospace sector, both as civil servant and in the private industry. He started his career at US Air Force’s Phillipp’s Laboratory in Albuquerque, N.M., was then deputy program manager for a reconnaissance satellite in the French Ministry of Defense, technical advisor to the Minister of Defence and eventually in charge of the energy sector at the budget office of the French Ministry of Finance. He then transitioned to industry holding various positions such as head of the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV), head of the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) business line, chief of staff to the Airbus Group CEO and head of the whole Airbus space activities He is director of various companies (including ArianeGroup) and foundations (in Europe and in the US).
