George Kollitides

Mr. Kollitides is a Senior Executive (SES-3) Advisor to the Deputy Secretary of War, the Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Office of Strategic Capital (OSC), and the Director of the Economic Warfare Unit (EWU), where he is responsible for all Department of War (DoW) equity investing and all other economic activities, as well as all counter-adversarial economic activities.
Mr. Kollitides is a long-term, operationally oriented, performance improvement investor and operating executive, with extensive strategy, operating, restructuring and business building experience. He focuses on investing in large, growing, fragmented industries with durable revenues, and has significant experience building business platforms in aerospace, defense, and government; industrials and industrial services; and technology and telecommunications sectors.
Over his three decade-plus career, Mr. Kollitides has executed over $25 billion of transactions involving public and private debt and equity to acquire or invest in transforming, restructuring, and building dozens of companies. His performance-driven approach is grounded in Six Sigma, Toyota/6S Production System, and U.S. Military leadership principles, emphasizing people, processes, systems and culture to ensure repeatable outcomes and continuous improvement. Mr. Kollitides has served as a CEO, Board Chairman, and Lead Director, as well as a member of public, private and nonprofit boards and their various committees, including Audit and Compensation.
Previously, Mr. Kollitides was a Managing Director and Portfolio Partner with Star Mountain Capital, a ~$5.0 billion alternative investment firm. From 2016 until 2023, Mr. Kollitides served as a Partner and Co-Head of A&M Capital’s Opportunities Strategy, an operationally oriented, middle market private equity firm, where he led the Investment, Valuation and Compliance Committees. The firm invested over $500 million in 10 platform companies, which subsequently acquired over 150 add-on investments.
From 2012-2015, Mr. Kollitides was the Chairman and CEO of a U.S. based manufacturing company with $1 billion in annual revenue, where he managed over three million square feet of operations, approximately 3,000 employees, and a portfolio of highly visible military, law enforcement, and outdoor products and brands. From 2001 to 2012, Mr. Kollitides was Head of the Aerospace, Government and Defense Group at Cerberus Capital Management, L.P.
Mr. Kollitides started his career in 1991 at GE Capital Corp., where he held roles of increasing responsibility until 1997, when he left to pursue an MBA at Columbia Business School.
Mr. Kollitides received an MBA in Finance and Management of Organizations from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics with a minor in Government and Law from Lafayette College. He is Six Sigma, Green Belt Certified and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and the Chief Executives Organization.
