Category: Podcast Series

In this second episode of four, join Shelli Brunswick, COO of Space Foundation, as we meet Amanda Lee Falkenberg, Orchestral Composer of THE MOONS SYMPHONY®.  Amanda is an international award-winning composer and pianist whose most recent work is THE MOONS SYMPHONY®, a cinematically rich visual experience merging the worlds of art & science. In seven movements, this work explores moons of our outer solar system while celebrating past, present, and future missions in collaboration with some of the world greatest scientists from NASA, ESA and astronauts from the International Space Station. In May 2022, THE MOONS SYMPHONY® will be recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra, Maestra Marin Alsop conducting, with the chorus to be recorded the following month at Abbey Road Studios with Ben Parry leading the London Voices . THE MOONS SYMPHONY® has been described by “The Beauty of Space Art” Authors Jon Ramer and Ron Miller as; “…one of the most extraordinary achievements in space-inspired music, and perhaps the first to be accomplished in direct collaboration with astronomers and scientists.” Join Shelli and Amanda as Amanda describes her inspiration and shares select pieces and interpretation of this truly global collaboration for our audience.
