Cartwright, Myers to participate at Strategic Space 2004

Myers, USAF, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Gen James Cartwright, USMC, Commander, United States Strategic Command, will both participate as featured speakers at Strategic Space 2004. Presented by the Space Foundation and Space News in support of America’s strategic forces, Strategic Space 2004 takes place 5-7 October 2004 at the Qwest Convention Center and Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. “Because we live in a globalized world, and are at war with terrorists that have global reach, our military must have both a global perspective and a global reach,” said Myers. “The new United States Strategic Command has that global perspective and that global reach.” “I’m really looking forward to Strategic Space 2004,” said Cartwright. “This is a premier conference that brings the best and brightest experts together to focus on the strategic issues we face across the command’s full spectrum of missions.” Cartwright will deliver the opening keynote speech for Strategic Space 2004 on Wednesday, 6 October.
