Changes scheduled to transform the Strategic Space and Defense 2008 Exhibit Center

Written by: Space Foundation Editorial Team

p>The Strategic Space and Defense exhibit center will see exciting new features and developments in 2008. Among the many changes is a 1500 sq. ft. "conference networking area" in the middle of the exhibit center to encourage visitors to spend more time in the center and improve traffic patterns. Additional enhancements include the relocation of the conference sessions next door to the exhibit center (downstairs in the Qwest Center Omaha) to provide increased accessibility during breaks, receptions, and other exhibit center events.

Please note that the conference begins on a MONDAY this year. The Monday- Wednesday schedule (6-8 October 2008) is different from the past Tuesday - Thursday conference schedule, due to the internationally celebrated Jewish holiday, Yom Kippur, which begins on Thursday, 9 October. The Opening Reception will remain in the exhibit center following the Opening Ceremony on Monday, 6 October. On Tuesday, 7 October, a networking luncheon and pre-dinner reception will also be held in the exhibit center. Dinner will be held in the South Ballroom, second floor, Qwest Center Omaha. Late-night hospitality events may follow. Wednesday will feature an additional reception in the exhibit center in honor of men and women of the United States Strategic Command.
