Today is 41st Anniversary of First Moon Walk

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jul. 20, 2010) — Today marks the 41st anniversary of one of humankind’s greatest achievements.

On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first two humans to set foot on the Moon while mission pilot Michael Collins waited to take them back home. When we celebrated the 40th anniversary last year, we asked Space Foundation fans and friends to tell us where they were during that extraordinary mission. The responses were inspiring.
