John Canzio Joins Aerojet Rocketdyne as Vice President, Finance

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 24, 2013) – Aerojet Rocketdyne, a GenCorp (NYSE: GY) company, announced today that John Canzio has joined the company as vice president, Finance. In this role, Canzio will be responsible for providing financial leadership and oversight to Aerojet Rocketdyne and will report to GenCorp’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Kathy Redd.
“John’s background and perspective will be a valuable asset to our finance team,” said Redd. “He brings a wealth of financial and operational expertise from his time at Pratt & Whitney which will help us achieve our goals in growing the business and continuing to improve our customers’ experiences.”
Canzio comes to the company with 25 years of experience with Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation. He was vice president of Finance for the Military Engines operating unit for 15 years until his retirement in 2012. Prior to that, Canzio was controller of Pratt & Whitney’s Government Engines & Space Propulsion business unit.
Canzio graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Quinnipiac University. He received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford. He also holds a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.
