Summer of Discovery will Conclude with "A Taste of Space Technology"

The final two weeks of Summer of Discovery at the Space Foundation Discovery Center in Colorado Springs is dedicated to space technology and how it improves our lives.

Come to the Discovery Center during “A Taste of Space Technology” and find out how space makes beer better. Learn how farmers use satellites to plant crops, and see a display of certified space technologies, developed for use in space but adapted for our needs here on Earth.

The Discovery Center provides fun, educational activites for all ages, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with extra special actiivities on Saturdays. See details about all of the Summer of Discovery activities here.

The grand finale of Summer of Discovery will be a beer tasting event, “Rocket in My Beer,” held at the Discovery Center Saturday, Aug. 16, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Buy a wristband for $19 in advance, $24 at the door, and spend a relaxing afternoon sampling the area’s finest brews.

The Space Foundation Discovery Center is the region’s only space, science and technology attraction, and is located at 4425 Arrowswest Drive in Colorado Springs, just off of Garden of the Gods Road. Discovery Center daily admission fees are $10 for adults, $7.50 for seniors (age 65+), $7.50 for college students with I.D., $4.50 for children ages 4-17. Military fees are $5.00 for adults with I.D., and $4.00 for children ages 4-17. Children age three years and younger are admitted free.
