Roundtable at 11th Colorado Space Roundup Highlights Global Space Economies

On Dec. 10, the Space Foundation was a sponsor of the 11th Colorado Space Roundup at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The event is held annually by the Colorado Space Coalition and the Colorado Space Business Roundtable.

The third of the day's four roundtables was "Connecting: Global Space Economies," moderated by the Space Foundation's Senior Vice President - Strategic & International Affairs Steve Eisenhart (pictured).

Discussion focused on how Colorado aerospace is connecting with partners internationally to establish a network of effective cooperation, and the opportunities that come through international collaboration and coalition building. Participants included:

  • Carlos Bello, Consul General of Mexico
  • Jérôme Pischella, Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner of Canada
  • Dr. Mark Kinnersley, Resident Liaison Office Airbus DS Space Systems Inc.
  • Maj. Gen. Jay Lindell USAF (Ret.), Aerospace and Defense Industry Champion, Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade"

The roundtable was sponsored by Exelis.

Keynote speaker for the event's luncheon was Gen. John E. Hyten, USAF, Commander, Air Force Space Command. Hyten will also speak at the Space Foundation's 31st Space Symposium in April. See the article in this issue of Space Watch.
