Discovery Center Launches Tinkering Program

One Saturday each month, come tinker at the Discovery Center and meet fellow tinkerers. Our project on Dec. 5 will be quadcopters. Come at 10:00 a.m. and pay regular admission, plus a $10 workshop fee to fly our quadcopters. Or pay an additional $40 for a quadcopter kit to build and take home. The Space Foundation will provide a free Star Wars-themed exoskeleton to customize your quadcopter. About the Discovery Center
The Space Foundation Discovery Center is the region’s only space, science and technology attraction, and is located only five minutes from Garden of the Gods Park, at 4425  Arrowswest Drive, Colorado Springs

Discovery Center admission is $10.00 for adults, $4.50 for children ages 4-17, $1.00 for children ages 2-3 and children under 2 are free. Military discounts are available. For other information, click here, or call the Space Foundation at 719.576.8000.

Bring Canned Food for Care Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado and Receive Discounted Discovery Center Admission
The Space Foundation is a designated collection point for Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado. Now through Dec. 18, visitors to our Discovery Center who bring a donation for Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado will receive $1 off the admission price. Please donate the following items:

Soup
Cereal
Peanut butter
Canned meat, vegetables and fruit
Snacks
Boxed side dishes
Dry goods
Other non-perishable food items

Please be sure that donated items are well within any expiration date on the packaging.

Holiday Hours
The Space Foundation Discovery Center will be closed Dec. 20 through Jan. 4, reopening Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 10:00 a.m. Our current school year hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed Sunday and Monday and during extreme weather.
