Space Foundation Announces Initial Featured Speakers for Space Technology & Investment Forum

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 11, 2017) – The Space Foundation’s Space Technology & Investment Forum (ST&IF) 2017 will be held in the heart of San Francisco, Aug. 30 and 31, joining together top venture capitalists and angel investors with space industry experts who can explain the technical, legal and business issues critical to market analysis and risk assessment. Attendees are invited to participate as technical experts, advisors, mentors and service providers to facilitate new business ventures and bring big ideas to fruition.
The Forum will include a Startup Showcase Reception on Aug. 30 for new companies to gain exposure to the investment community.
Amir Blachman, Vice President, Strategic Development, Axiom Space Company is confirmed as a STIF Featured Speaker to address how Axiom is creating the first international commercial space station to host government astronauts, private companies and individual explorers.
Also featured is Greg Autry, Ph.D., NASA Landing Team Member and Interim White House Liaison, who will speak on the subject of “The Trump Space Policy and the Investment Climate.”
Other featured speakers confirmed to date are Ed Swallow, Vice President, Civil and Commercial Systems, at The Aerospace Corporation, who will speak on startups and the government customer; and Thomas E. Zelibor, Space Foundation Chief Executive Officer, giving the introductory remarks.
One of the featured panels will be “Big Data and Space Investment Community,” moderated by Dylan Taylor, Founding Partner, Space Angels, with panelists:
