Visit Both Space Foundation Booths at the Pikes Peak Regional Airshow

The Pikes Peak Regional Airshow opens today, Sept. 23, in Colorado Springs, featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and Warbirds, as well as aerobatic teams and more than 30 vintage aircraft.

Look for the Space Foundation booth in the Airshow’s KidZone. Admission to the KidZone is free with Airshow admission. Activities at the Space Foundation booth include:

• “How Rockets Work” demo, showing simple chemical reactions that create “rocket power”
• 3D printer demonstrations
• Make Your Own Puff Rocket
• Engineering Design Station, using Strawbees to create structures
• Make Your Own Solar System Bookmark

The Space Foundation will have a second booth in the concession area, selling fun space-themed items, including toys, books, games and posters. Sales from the booth will benefit Space Foundation education programs.
