As leader of Milbank’s Transportation and Space Group in Washington, DC, Dara’s practice involves representation of satellite and space infrastructure operators, aerospace manufacturers, launch services providers, communications companies, earth observation and data services companies, banks, private equity firms, hedge funds and other investors in debt and equity offerings, project, structured and vendor financings, mergers & acquisitions, financial restructurings and in negotiating commercial contracts. Dara is also Chair of Milbank’s Global Risk & National Security practice, advising on domestic and international regulatory and cross-border investment matters, including licensing of space and terrestrial communications systems, economic sanctions, regulatory, anti-corruption, national security, foreign direct investment and export control matters.
Dara is a regular speaker and moderator at space, communications, defense and finance conferences, a visiting lecturer at the International Space University and he has published articles and delivered presentations on finance, commercial and regulatory aspects of the aerospace and communications industries. He also authors Milbank’s monthly Space Business Review newsletter.
