24th National Space Symposium off to a Swing’n Start with Big Bad Voodoo DaddyCOLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Mar. 26, 2008) — The Opening Ceremony of the 24th National Space Symposium will feature entertainment by the jazz, blues, and swing group Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (BBVD). The Opening Ceremony, co-sponsored by Untied Space Alliance, which kicks off the premier annual gathering of the global space industry, also includes the presentation of several Space Foundation awards. Since gaining mainstream popularity with their breakthrough performance in Swingers, BBVD is one of the most popular touring bands on the road today.

The Opening Reception, co-sponsored by ATK, will immediately follow the opening ceremony. This reception celebrates the grand opening of the Lockheed Martin Exhibit Center, which will showcase more than 140 companies and organizations. The evening concludes with fireworks over Broadmoor Lake and a Late-night reception, co-sponsored by Raythoen.
