Explore "Space Myths" During "Star Days" April 3 and 5 at the Discovery Center

Written by: developer

The Space Foundation Discovery Center has added special evening hours one Thursday each month, for “Star Days” Thursday, leading into a special “Star Days” Saturday at the beginning of each month.

There are monthly themes with related crafts, presentations in Science On a Sphere®, demonstrations by Cool Science and outdoor telescopes (weather permitting). The monthly “Star Days” activities are included in the price of regular Discovery Center admission.

April “Star Days”
The “Star Days” theme for April 3 and 5 is “Space Myths.” Join us for a visit with Cool Science® and an exploration of black holes and other space mysteries, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 3, and on Saturday, April 5, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

May “Star Days” and
Summer of Discovery

On May 1 and 3, the “Star Days” theme will be a “Summer of Discovery Preview.” See what we have planned when our “Summer of Discovery” kicks off on June 10. “Summer of Discovery” is a full 10 weeks of space-related educational activities for all ages at the Discovery Center. There are five two-week segments, each focusing on a specific theme. This summer’s themes are Oceans: Astronomy; Mars, Rovers and Robots; Rocketry; and A Taste of Space Technology.
