Space Foundation to Participate in UNCOPUOS

The Space Foundation will participate as a Private Sector Advisor to the United States Delegation for the 57th Meeting of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS).  

The meeting will be conducting at UN City Vienna from June 11-20, and the provisional agenda includes reports from the Scientific and Technical Sub-committee and Legal Subcommittee, space and sustainable development, spin-off benefits of space technology, space and water, space and climate change, the use of space technology in the United Nations system and the future role of the Committee.

Steve Eisenhart, Space Foundation Senior Vice President-Strategic and International Affairs, will also attend a meeting of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) Advisory Board and meetings of the Expert Group of the Working Group on the Long Term Sustainability of Space.
