Partnership With PPCM Brings Clifford The Big Red Dog™ Exhibit to Discovery Center Oct. 3

Written by: developer

Early in 2015, the Space Foundation Discovery Center formed a partnership with the Pikes Peak Children’s Museum (PPCM). The Discovery Center will host traveling exhibits sponsored locally by PPCM, bringing world class children’s museum experiences to Pikes Peak region families and visitors.

PPCM board members and the Junior League of Colorado Springs have been raising money – in part through hosting several traveling exhibits each year – to eventually build a permanent children’s museum in Colorado Springs.

PPCM will launch its first exhibit, Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog™, at the Discovery Center, opening to the public at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3. The exhibit is appropriate for families and groups with young children, and will remain at the Discovery Center through Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016.

Clifford made his debut with the Space Foundation at the Chick-fil-A Patriot’s Festival on Sept. 12, honoring those who serve our country and community (pictured).

PPCM and the Space Foundation are offering a special $30 family pass to visit the traveling exhibit during its stay in Colorado Springs. The pass can be upgraded to the full Discovery Center pass, the Discovery Passport, to be used to visit the Space Foundation year round. Learn more about the Discovery Passport here.

The Discovery Center is located at 4425 Arrowswest Drive in Colorado Springs, just off of Garden of the Gods Road. For information, call 719.576.8000.
